What do you think about the Yankees getting Rodriguez?

They got Marte, Nady, and Ivan Rodriguez for nothing. They have made the best trades this year. I think with these guys they can make the playoffs. How about you?

I hate this trade! As a die-hard Yanks fan, I find this trade ridiculous and I have doubts about if they even consulted Joe Giriardi! Kyle Farnsworth is such a staple of the bullpen (a wilting one may I add) and Jose Molina is doing great behind the plate.

We should have gone for a less prestigious catcher for some Farm Team kids. Right now, we need the pitcher to be able to throw the ball to the catcher over the catcher.

Stupid trade Hank.

Rodriguez in particular was a great move.

not only playoffs, world series. This team is beginning to act like the late 90s yankees rather than the yankees that we have known for the past 7 years.

they dont need Nady, Sexson, and Rodriguez. they have good catchers already, and what happens when they get posada back

i think they will make the playoffs as the wild card team afeter these big trades. i think unfortunately for most the red sox will fail to make it. the rays will ..gulp....win the division

I like all of the Yankee moves.  I still don't know if it will be enough ot get them into the playoffs..I hope so..

Rodriguez is an interesting move...He is clearly a rent a player...

Do you think Cashman and the Steinbrunners get together and say..hey this player was my favorite player in the 90's....Let's add him to the Yankees Roster....

Will the Yankees ever get some players that weren't in the league in 1990's?

I think it's a good trade.  Especially with Jorge Posada being for the remainder of the season.  The only thing that I'm afraid of is that Ivan Rodriguez is going to take over Posada's spot as catcher.
