I believe the police did over over react especially since so many bullets were fired. But in their defense I will post this.

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 A Washington-based group reported a 59 percent increase in the number of U.S. police officers shot to death this year.

According to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, 132 officers have died in the line of duty this year, 54 of them from gunshot wounds.

The number of deaths from gunshot deaths is a 59 percent increase over the same period in 2006, the fund says, while the total number of on-duty police deaths represents a level not seen since 1978.

I really think they felt in fear of their lives and that is why this happened.  To be honest with you I wouldn't want to be a police officer. With all the killings that are going on in this country I would feel that my life was in danger every time I stepped out of a police car.

Lets be honest. One there was never a chance for a conviction after the witneses that were brought foward by the DA. They were self centered and caught in the moment, not the trial. Also we in the black community are not fooled by rhetoric!! Our families are not afraid of the police per say, our parents and families are afraid of the young people fronting and perpertrating a fraud daily on the corners of the inner cities. When was the last time our children came home and said they were harrased by the police?? I can tell you this, compare that number with the times we came home to news of a family member killed or assaulted by people that look just like us. In New york City there will probally  be up to 500/murders this year. Of that number 92% of these murders will be black on black crimes Where is our outrage?? maybe 8 will be killed by police officers. You can go back years before police killings even reach  100. Somethin to think about. Sure those police officers were reckles and shouuld be held accountable. But where is our accoutability?? We make nothing but excuses for our people. If were not doing that were using terms like"give us" "They got it" what ever happened to the words "earn" selfrespect" pride, accomplishments, family in the true sense of the word. Our so called black leaders are fronting on us. They are appealing to the lowest common denomintor in our communities and using there ignorance to advance their goals. I have no respect for any of those gang members that were outside of the court waiting for something to jump off so that they can use this tme to steal and insult the memory of that young man(Sean Bell) Sean Bell and his friends were shot at 50 times!! wrong  and a crime. People using his name in vain and disrespecting his wife and children for personal &political gain is atrocious and unacceptable Our black leaders better deal with the realities in our communities just not with the headline ones. If you need a list here is a short one. Quality of life crimes, education, teenage pregnancie, absent fathers(child support), schools with 1,500 students and only 200 pta members, social programs (not basket ball courts!! every school/park has one, indifferent police, total disregard of property, priorities in general, disapline/structure assitance with chidren raising children. These are some of the issues in our cmmunities that are largly ignored  by you our black leaders until it's convienent. Protest a mugging or rape in our communities then you got our attension, protest urinating and writing in our buildings then you have our attension, instead of making lame and tired excuses for the perputraiters of these acts. God Bless the Bell family and I hope you find justice fo your husband.

Some of these people were looking for a verdict they were comfortable with not the justice you sought. That also is a crime.

This white boy LOVES Al Sharpton...  Because, he and the black community come together to fight the establishment..  Working class white stiffs like myself get shot and killed every year and white people sit at home and do nothing..  GOD BLESS AL SHARPTON....   " F " the Police!
