  1. The civil rights movement of the 1960's was a great example of non-violent protests. It help to get rid of institutional racism.

There is no such thing as 'equality' because people aren't 'equal'. You cannot pass a law to make me sing or force those that can to sing like c**p so that I am equal.

  2. Racism is alive and well. Just more subtle these days.

  3. Unfortunately, it will never happen. Because people are born into families with prejudice and racism, and the cycle continues. It is amazing that this many years later, people still believe in white supremacy, and black people think ALL white folks are racists.

While it's truer in some areas, more than others, it's so hard to tell when someone is judging you based on the color of your skin. I have a 26 year old coworker who thinks she knows everything, and the stupid prejudice that comes out of her mouth is astounding for the year 2008. But she learned of of this prejudice from her parents.

Along comes 9/11 and boy, did the prejudice increase. Now, the victims of sterotypes are the islamic peoples of all areas.  You can see fear on people's faces if a muslim-looking person is sitting on a plane they're boarding.

Equality and justice for all is just not going to happen in this lifetime. Maybe another 5 generations out, if the human race exists that long.

  4. There is the possibility that citizens could push for TheHuman Right to Peace as part of The Constitution. The Human Right to own the planet and conserve natural resources as a right for everyone in The Constitutions of all nations might help.

  5. It takes more than 100 years to change a way of thinking and living, when ideas are planted to show that equality can not exist if you are deem inferior.

  6. Pissed off a lot of people and all black people got are low paying jobs, they get passed over, and the right to sit at a luncheonette counter.
