Question:

What do you think about the dress and shoes?

I'm renewing my vows next summer on the beach. I didn't go with the traditional white dress and I'm having trouble finding shoes that look good but won't stand out too much.

Honest opinion. What do you think?

Also, I've never worn anything but flip flops or bare feet to the beach. Will I have problems with heels in the sand?

Thanks

  1. That is one wicked evening gown!

For shoes, best to go with a wedge!

  2. The dress is beautiful :)

But yes, those heels in the sand are going to cause you problems!

Flat shoes will probably be less hazardous and a lot more comfortable!

  3. Do not wear heels that high in the sand. Buy a nice pair of flat sandals. There are nicer flip flops out there that are more of a sandal, I just wouldn't wear the rubber ones like at Old Navy. Bare feet can be cozy, but for that nice of a dress I think it may look odd. Whatever you want though, if its not that formal barefoot it fine.

  4. Why not go barefoot on the beach?

I like the first pair for afterwards, but on the beach they will be really hard to walk in.

  5. LOVE LOVE LOVE THE DRESS! and i think that you should just be comfortable and have bare feet or flip flops instead. i think that would be more natural. hope that helped ya!

  6. things to consider:

    - dress dragging on ground

    - heels sinking into sand & sand getting into shoe (uncomfy to walk on)

    - black sandals really stand out with a cream dress

    I say go barefoot!

  7. Why dont you just wear flip flops or go in your bare feet. You do not have to wear shoes unless you want to.   I do like the shoes though.

  8. I love the dress..this was actually my bridesmaid dresses for my wedding...but they were black...i wouldnt wear shoes in the sand...it sucks..and yes..you will either fall..or not be comfortable..and what is more romantic than be on a beach in a beautiful dress and barefoot with the one you love?? its perfect..you dont want anything to take your concentration off your honey! good luck!

  9. I would just go with a cute pair of flats, it'll be more formal than barefoot or flip flops, but will still not sink in the sand.

  10. the shoes are cute and look great with the dress, but you will have problems walking on the sand in them. I went to mexico last summer and had a lot of problems walking in heels. I happen to be an accident prone person, however, so you might be fine. Hope it helps. :)

  11. I love the dress, but the shoes?  I would go with dyed to match shoes or a brushed gold shoe.  But the dress is gorgeous.

  12. Love the dress. Barefoot would seem to me to be the most natural and comfortable way to be but if you feel like foot wear would be appropriate then consider barefoot sandals...

Its the best of both worlds.

  13. Definately DO NOT wear those shoes in the sand.

    you will be extremely uncomfortable!!!

  14. The dress is gorgeous.  Hey if you're more comfortable in flip flops or bare feet then go that route.  It's a beach not a church so I don't think anyone will care. lol.  I think it would look better in bare feet (or flip flops) than heels, plus those will be such a pain in the *** to walk in.  I do love the shoes but I'd go comfy  Bare feet would look awesome with that dress on the beach.  Or a white pair of flip flops.

  15. The dress is beautiful. Simply but yet elegant.

I believe you would have a hard time walking in the sand with the shoes you posted. If you are going to be on the beach, I would say just go barefoot.  If you plan on going out afterwards, then put the shoes on, otherwise you do not even need shoes.

Have fun and many happy years to you husband and you.

  16. My hugest suggestion would be to go barefoot because you'll probably be more comfortable, and if it's on the beach you can get away with that!

If you aren't up for that, payless has some very comfortable short heel strappy sandles that are adorable and affordable!

They are in fact what I'm wearing for my wedding!

    Congratulations!

  17. sooooooo gorgeous!!!

  18. wow

    gorgeous dress

the i think u should go with a lower heel and i lighter shade

  19. Love love love the dress but I do not like the shoes with the dress. I think it would be hard to walk in the sand!! So yes, you will have a problem. Go barefoot or flats. You can always get heels for later on.

  20. Heels in sand sink. So just do a low heel like flip flop. You will have alot of trouble walking in the heels you choose because of the height with sand I say don't go more than 2 inchs. The dress is beautiful, I love the dress in the color canary! I just thought of this.....for flip flops go a flip flop that's the color of your dress or that would go good with the color.

  21. Cute Dress, but I would just go bare footed.

  22. Hi.  I agree with the others!

Beautiful dress!  AND beautiful shoes.  But I would nix the shoes.  They will be a problem in the sand.  Get some really pretty flip flops or flats or go bare foot....but those heels WILL be a problem.

    Good luck!
