I don't believe a word he says. He was obviously trying to kill the bird and not scare it off. He must think people are stupid. He is a t**d. I hope he loses everything.

  1. Yeah, from the article I read, It seems like he was being a real a$$ about it. He shot at it multiple times from 300 yards, then gave up, then when it got within 60-75 he started whacking them at it again. He got one really close and the crew says he got really excited. Then when he hit it, he said that he didn't think he could do that. This coming from a pro golfer that can drop a shot from 100 yards out within feet of a cup that is much smaller than a Hawk.

Moral is, thats a jerk move, he deserves the fine.

  2. He's a moron, plain and simple.  But lets not crucify the guy like hes Michael Vick.  I really doubt that he was intentionally trying to hit the bird.  He was on TV cameras trying to show off...and it bit him in the ***.

Now go ahead and argue with my answer.

  3. Tipp wasnt intentionally tyring to hurt the bird, he was just trying to scare it off. Ya its messed up that the bird got killed, but just because it did does not mean it was intentional.

*Edit* You think he is lying jut because the humane society is after him, wow shows how logical you are. Do you really think someone could purposely hit a bird from 75 yards away? There is a difference between rolling a ball close to a hol and hitting something that is in the air.

  4. He messed up and knows it.  Give him a fine, community service, maybe a public service announcement, and move on.  He screwed up and needs to be held accountable.

I disagree with you when you say he needs to lose everything.  That's a bit extreme wouldn't you say?  Imagine if you were held to the same standard for a mistake you made?

  5. It was stupid. I think that he was trying to hit it to scare it off, not to hit it in the head and kill it. He should be fined, but not jailed. Maybe some community service at a wildlife sanctuary or the like would be a good form of justice.

  6. if he was trying to kill it then he should be working for the cia but i really don't think hawks scare off that easily he should have sent a rabbit after it so he would only have to deal with peta

  7. One I don't think there is any truth in his story that he wasn't trying to harm the hawk. this happen back in mid Dec and one of the TV crew men reported it 3 days later. If this golfer really love animals (3 cats, come on they're for his kids) why didn't he reported the day of the incident? They buried the hawk and all of them just walk way like it didn't happen.

The tv crewman said that he was having dreams about killing animals that what made him reported to the wildlife and game commission. He was first to get to the injured hawk and watch the bird died. Now they're saying that he would be find $10,000.00 for killing the hawk instead $1,400.00 in fine and 14 months in jail. But what happen to the jail time? but they would have him to do community service for wildlife. I said nah, he should do both! jail time and community services.

He is a jerk in the worst way!!
