I think the policy of refusing British servicemen is simply nonesense. What kind of person would make this policy never mind making Hotel staff enforce it?

  1. if i ran a hotel i wouldn't want a hired killer staying under my roof i'd fear for the safety of the other guests. how would i know the solider won't get flashbacks and start killing ?  don't trust anybody in the army they are all trained murderers

  2. I think that it's absolutely disgusting.  We should be so proud of our armed forces.  The hotel probably couldn't have wished for a more respectful guest and should have been honoured.  Maybe they'll think of that the next time some drunken layabout trashes a room.

  3. "well it's 'Tommy this' and 'Tommy that' and 'Tommy, go away', but it's 'Thank you, Mr Atkins', when the band begins to play

    Rudyard Kipling, 1892

always has been, and ever thus

  4. it`s a bloody disgrace

  5. Don't agree with that at all, they were out of order!!!

  6. Its owned by a company called American Amusements Ltd.

Its certainly not amusing to me

  7. S-L-A-G-S!

  8. The hotel manager is blaming his receptionist - a pretty pathetic excuse. His receptionist should know the hotel's admission policy.

I think we treat our military in a pretty shoddy way, on the whole.

They face horrific dangers on our behalf, and we should be more than a little grateful to them, and demonstrate that gratitude by treating them as the extremely valuable people they truly are.

  9. " It is a disgrace , what a way to treat someone that is out defending this country "

  10. MUST REMEMBER TO AVOID THE METRO IN WOKING!!!

The soldier should have been given the best room in the hotel....shame, shame on them!

  11. BURN IT!

  12. a manager with strong political views? if you own a property you can allow or not allow anyone you want in it, it may not make you popular but you cant demand service from a place that doesnt want to serve you. the guy could have said he didnt want to allow anyone in that wore a yellow shirt, it might be stupid and obnoxious but its his right as owner.
