What do you think about the hurricane its too early to predict anything? i think so?

like i mean its way down there and i just think they are overpredicting i mean really they cant predict if its going to hit in my state by tuesday by sunday it should be in the gulf and we will see from there they are wrong with some hurricanes

its better to be prepared than to know at the last minute so listen to what they say they might be right and they might be wrong.

Here's what I put to an similar question.

Well, it depends on which forecast model you look at.

The BAMS, BMAD, BAMM, models are bringing gustav to almost a direct hit with New Orleans. This does not appear to be the likely scenario.

The UKMET, LBAR, GFDL, models are showing that the hurricane will likely make a Central/Norther texas or extreme wester LA landfall. This looks more reasonable and will most likely will be the path.

BUT.... The NHC(National Hurricane Center) model is taking the storm to make a Central LA landfall and that could involve New Orleans. The NHC model is in the middle of the two outliers so it could very well be the correct track.

Once it enters the golf with water temperatures reaching 90 it is forecast to rapidly strenghten.

Could make landfall as a Category 4 maybee 5???

It would be just as devastating.

I really think that this could be a very big hurricane but it can how it interacts with land will determine exactly how strong it can get.

Gustav, may be similair to Katrina if it takes the New Orleans track.

Either way it will be devastating

They are showing the people that it could go this way or that way. They are trying to prepare us in case a hurricane would hit us. That's why they like people to be ready to get out. But the problem is that, some people don't listen and stays, and some people don't have money or don't want to leave because this is there home..
