  1. What law?

This state is probably the most innept in terms of handling child abusers/predators, well, after Vermont perhaps.

CPS is basically the end all say so for anything to happen in a child abuse case and RARELY if ever do they do anything appropriate in terms of action. Judges can't really do anything unless CPS calls abuse claims "conclusive", and typically won't call it conclusive without testimony from the child, and that is just outrageous because a child being abused is typically too afraid to testify against their abuser.

Our whole system is soooo backwards on handling child abuse and it needs a drastic overhaul.

Furthermore, if a small child DOES testify, often it will be thrown out as evidence because a small child's word/testimony is considered not credible or the child is not a credible witness...

  2. The aspect of law is important with your question, because you would receive "venting" responses.  The individual perspectives will include: penal, and "I don't know--what." [health & safety]

I believe, the Penal Code wraps (but specifies) that into domestic violence; or some reverse outline.  I think that it's a law amongst many, but often the constituents mar-the-line amongst subjects like law, religion, psychology, and "old-fashion."

  3. like other states.. California needs stricter laws on s*x offenders
