  1. My name since 1993 has had 'wolf' in it. I consider myself a wolf. If wolves are not protected I believe they will go endangered again and quite likely extinct. There are a lot of wolves now because they were protected. Having a total lift almost guarantees the extinction of wolves in that area again. The visions of mass slaughter sicken me. But if wolves are to be killed there should be ecologists setting a limit on how many and which ones should be killed according to how healthy the packs are and which ones are more likely to attack ranchers' livestock. Also they should look at the question--since we probably can't stop the killing, should wolves be killed as a whole pack so that packs aren't left crippled left and right?

The other possibility, which I am much more in favor of, is relocating wolves into more wilderness areas where fewer people ever go but that takes money that the government won't help with and is not likely to be found.
