  1. I could care less about the media's standard of beauty, because chances are that that same 'standard' will change in a year or two.

If I see something or someone that is beautiful, i'll say it. they could be black, white, pink, purple, yellow, green or blue.

  2. Very Eurocentric.

  3. I think that beauty is kinda confused these days.

Natural beauty is no longer  valued or promoted. Image and lifestyle are shown as being desired. Hence, we see celebs being drunk, using drugs, etc. NEVER eating healthy food, drinking water, etc. We see them doing bad things because...'they can'. If we try it, we can't - it's too expensive...and we lose our jobs!

...So we ENVY their lifestyle. They can party hardy, get caught with coke and we can't

Kate Moss is a 'top' model (known drug user), yet she is never described as 'beautiful. Also Victoria Beckham (terribly thin) or Paris Hilton (famous for being...famous) are all over the magazines, but you'd never describe them as beautiful...or the 'model' Jordan (Peter Andre's wife - bad skin and orange b***s). I personally can't stand them!!!

Fake b*****s, fake tan, bleached teeth and dyed hair. Also...botox! These are the beauty tools of today. Models/dancers...or glamour models are a parody of beauty. Odd-shaped b***s, saggy bottoms, orange skin, etc. They only look 'good' from a distance.

In the media, we see an obsession with trying to fight against the hands of time. Why can't we age naturally/gracefully!?!

To be honest, I think beauty is COMMON. The media doesn't push beauty, it just tweaks women's buttons regarding their insecurity.

    UKJazzCat!!!

  4. ask my belly...i guess he's saying: I did it my way!

I think it's better if you don't care about media diktat

  5. yeah its almost disgusting. lots of white dominance and narrow minded constraints in the media. i think about 90% of the people the media finds attractive arent the least bit so in my opinion

    : \

  6. Stupid

  7. I think the media accepts a wide range of looks as beautiful.  I mean, let's be real here.  There's dark black women and pasty white women that are considered s**y by the media's standards.  You don't have to be a size zero for the media to accept you, either.  You can have a fat butt and big **** and be a size WHATEVER and be accepted by the media, and you can have nothing and be waif thin and still be accepted by the media.  There's so many different looks that the media likes - the only thing is, you have to actually be beautiful.  Why SHOULD they allow ugly people to be considered beautiful just because it hurts some ugly person's feelings?!  It's EXACTLY like what that California young woman said, if you're a GIRL, you have the potential to be beautiful no matter how you were born looking, as long as you eat right, take care of your skin and hair, and excersize.  I don't think the media should accomidate to lazy, sloppy people, and allow our children to grow up thinking that fat, nasty slobs are the norm and can become media darlings.  That's f-u-c-k-e-d up.  The media has a huge influence on young people, and to show unhealthy women on TV as being the norm, it would make young women think it's okay to be unhealthy McDonald's junkies.  There has to be some kind of standard for beauty.  I think this is a crybaby question and if you think the media is f-u-c-k-e-d up for the women it finds beautiful, then you're probably just VERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRY insecure.  (Even though I think lots of the media girls are ugly, like Hayden Panetere or whatever - she's FUGLY!  But that's just my opinion!  The media has the right it it's opinion)

P.S. - The first person said "n**i" propoganda.  That's probably one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard.  The media is controlled by JEWS, dummy.

  8. Most people find lighter skin, hair, and eyes more attractive.

  9. why do people complain about that so much? everyone is born with the potential to be attractive all you have to do is eat right, take care of your skin, go to the gym, and if your a girl do your hair right and put on makeup, oh yeah and brush your ****** teeth! if you have a problem with everyone else being pretty on tv then dont watch it

  10. I dont think anyone cares of the medias standards. I see a lot of big girls that wears whatever they want and cause of there attitudes they look very attractive. When I walk the streets I dont see perfect model bodies everywhere lol. But I think the medias standards are slowly changing to fit the populations outlooks. Always has, always will until it doesnt. lol

  11. Dont really care...the dont always noe whats good anyways...like backing the size zero girls....whats up with that??

The media will run str8 in2 the ground one day cuz they lie to lil girls abt whats ''acceptable''...sheesh, they need 2 get with the real world....

  12. Ridiculous and unattainable.  Everyone is touched up in the media...

  13. Hard to live up to and unrealistic.

  14. i think that you should accepct you for you s***w evevrybody else

  15. they are what they are. i try not to absorb myself in that rubbish. the last time i checked the media did not create me so i couldn't care less what they think is beautiful

edit; dont forget that the beauty industry make their living off our insecurities which is why i like to use natural beauty products when i can, like lemon, sugar etc

  16. n**i Propaganda.
