  1. blah and bland.

Y`know new cars lose 30% in the first year, and 60% in 3 years.

Go get a 3 year old car. it will still be nearly new and a lot less to make for car payments.

The Kia only gets 32mpg on the HIGHWAY, why not for the same money find a used VW Golf Diesel, which gets 42 in town and 50 on the highway, that sure beats a hybrid!

Diesel engine las a lot lot longer than gas does, VWs are German so they wont be filled with a buch of cheap plastic.

Beetle Jetta and Passat all use the same engine. Oh, here`s how long they last...

Heck diesels are built so well, Mercedes`s diesels will go a million miles!

Anyway, dont get taken buy a cheap initial price, you`ll be "upside-down" in 2 to 3 years if you go that route.

oh, and you can make your own diesel fuel too.

  2. All I have to sat its a KIA

  3. while the Kia Optima & Kia Rondo are excellent vehicles the

    Kia Spectra is not.

it does not score well is side crash test even with side air bags.

it's handling is secure but not sporty.

the ABS option is very hard to find.

reliability is not that great either.

    they have many better choices:

    Hyundai Elantra

    Nissan Sentra

    Suzuki Forenza

    Ford Focus  b4 08

    Mazda Mazda3

    Saturn Ion

    Toyota Corolla

    Honda Civic

    Subaru Impreza

    Volkswagen Jetta 08,09

  4. Spectra LX M/T

    MSRP* $12,895

    Options $0

    Color $0

    Destination $650

    Total MSRP $13,545

It's a good first throw away car for a family that can't afford a 'real' car.

  5. They do have a low resale value. The biggest jump in resale value is between when a car is bought new and after it's been owned once. I've never had one, but I am a big fan of edmunds.com and they have reviews on the Kia Spectra from editors and consumers. The consumers gave it an average rating of 9.0 out of 10, not too bad at all. Check it out here: http://www.edmunds.com/kia/spectra/2008/...
