What do you think about the over packaging of plastic on products??

It's ridiculous with some products. It not only makes them hard to open without a sharp knife or razor, it's wasteful. All that plastic has to go somewhere, a landfill usually, where it will sit for a few hundred years in most cases, or longer in some cases.

Some manufacturers have realized this and they ship products with minimal packaging. But I recently got headphones that had three layers of hard plastic, the plastic wrap on the case and the hard case the headphones were actually in. I was so annoyed by the time I finally pulled them out I was tempted to give up and return them. They'll only change when you let them know how you feel about it, most companies have a website and email.

One of my jobs involved the testing of packaging. A lot of time went into finding a way to get the same result with less packaging. I suspect that other companies feel much the same way. Consumers, on the other hand, do not worry about the problems of pilferage and spoilage. If these cost less than the cost of the added packaging, they would not be used, at least by most manufacturers.

Its crazy. Not only does it damage the environment but It also has an impact on sales and stuff.

I got a bag of crisps the other day, and the paket was huge, but when I opend it, there was hardly any crips in!~!!!
