What do you think about the proposal of putting an incinerator in Dalton(North Yorkshire)?

great idea. only better use for the waste would be a biodigester, both methods use the waste for generating electricity.

i hope they have a kerbside recycling service to go with it, or one of those new automated waste separating plants, as removing the non- burnable recyclable waste before incineration makes the process much more efficient (and provides a useful extra revenue stream).

my waste goes to an energy from waste plant in hampshire, hooray! the emissions are minimal, they are monitored and the results put up on their website. no complaints since it has been up and running, the local nimbys didnt have a leg to stand on.
