What do you mean, what do I think about it? I think that statement is - well, stating a general truth. Language lessons and literature lessons at school are rarely ever about producing poetry, drama etc. yourself; only in particular branches of literature didactics they are, and then often only as project work rather than replacing the existing syllabus. More often, literature classes consist of reading existing works, analysing and interpreting them. Simple fact.

"Projects" of students writing poetry etc. are not a new thing, however. It's been done for decades. :)
