What do you think about the tragic death and assault of the US Volleyball coach's father-in-law and others?

Did you see the news about the stabbing in Beijing? I thought it was horrible how everyone was immediately speculating/reporting that it had nothing to do with the Olympics or them being Americans - that this was just a random act. What is your view?

i think it did have something to do with the olympics and may be a cover up because he obviously knew they were white foreigners except the tour guide.

Does the guy knew the man was a Volleyball coach's father-in-law ? Did he know that he was American ? Why did he suicide ? ... It's too early to be sure but i see it as random act, terrible.
