CAPITAL GAINS TAX

MCCAIN

0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA

28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN

15% (no change)

OBAMA

39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

INCOME TAX

MCCAIN

(no changes)

Single making 30K - tax $4,500

Single making 50K - tax $12,500

Single making 75K - tax $18,750

Married making 60K- tax $9,000

Single making 50K - tax $14,000

Single making 75K - tax $23,250

Married making 60K - tax $16,800

Married making 75K - tax $21,000

Married making 125K - tax $38,750

Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN

- 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)

OBAMA

Restore the inheritance tax

Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA

New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

  1. Actually, a lot of what you have up there isnt true, or is distorted.

I'm suprised you didnt have some bullet point like

    Loves his country

    McCain   yes

    Obama   no

You really wasted a lot of time typing distorted stuff.

  2. I thought it was gonna be an honest comparison, but it looked more like a fox news cast. So no it does not even interest me let alone change my vote.

  3. Thanks for posting the links to your "facts". I think if people really loved our country and could actually comprehend reality and interpret correctly what they read, they'd see the truth too. Funny how the same folks who misinterpret this kind of stuff also misinterpret the Bible.... interesting, don't you think?

  4. Too bad America can't see the truth too. Obama will ruin us.

  5. Holy cow!  Facts!  Facts are a natural liberal repellant.

    Good post.

  6. Oh Please,

Even a cursory examination of your so-called "facts" show that they are, at best misleading, and worst they are outright lies. Please people check these for yourself. For example, Obama calls for a "phased withdrawal" from Iraq - not immediate. Nice try

  7. Interesting talking points. No, they don't affect my voting for Obama.

  8. To be honest I hadn't made my mind up who I was going to vote for until this week. Now that doesn't mean I was considering Obama because there's no way I'd vote for him. On the issues he is willing to address, I totally disagree with him. But there are too many serious issues that he just responds with "I'm not going to go there".  What kind of answer is that from a man wanting to hold the most powerful position in the most powerful country in the world?

But I wasn't sure about McCain either because I've always seen him as a liberal RINO.  But... in all honesty, the facts don't lie and with his choice for VP, I think he's now got my vote.

By the way. Thanks for the list. With the Obama's lame stream media refusing to address anything but Sarah Palin's womanhood and family it's important for people to get this information.

  9. No, it doesn't change the way I will vote since I was for McCain anyway. But I like how you laid out the facts. Unfortunately "Dims" won't believe them or bother finding the facts out for themselves. They are truely a party of the blind leading the blind. Well done on your part though.

I like the way the liberals scream that they want change, but they really wouldn't like the change if it meant they had to get a job and stop receiving government handouts. So what they really mean is they want everyone elde to change so they can keep their heads in the sand and their hand outstretched waiting for the govt to fill it. I've never been more shocked than with this election, at the ignorance of the dems. I guess the old saying is true "There is nothing left to be shocked at except the truth"
