What do you think about these pictures?

Question

Okay, so I am really into photography, and I took these pictures, let me know what you think about them, i DIDNT adit them at all, they r straight off my camera. =]

I think there are ones that are hit and miss.

The backlit photo of Jersey City, IMGP5197.jpg, is your best one.

IMGP4847 looks a 1/2 stop overexposed. The one with the seagull blends too much into the white cloud background.

The last one is nice, though you could rotate it and crop out the car's side view mirror.

Keep taking photos. Everyone has a lot of crappy photos that get ditched. The few great ones makes it all worthwhile.

I think all the ones that are scenic are phenomenal. The seagull is cool too. The ones in moving car not so good, but that was what 2 of them. Not a bad percentage.

finally someone who isn't asking us to judge how they or someone else looks. i love the 3rd, 6th, 7th, and last pics. especially the 3rd one. nice close up on the 1st pic. i really like the pics. you have a great talent and a good eye. i love how you focus on one object or point and capture it. it would have been annoying if there were multiple things going on in the pics and you did not just focus on one thing. alot of people do that but a real photographer doesn't, and you are a real photographer. 100 thumbs up.

Your greatest strength is that you have a kick a$$ eye for composition - how your subject and focal point will "fit" into the frame of your image.  Nice balance.  The human eye gets confused if the artist or photographer does not focus on one subject and "frame it" well within the canvas or the photograph parameters.  That's how our eyes SEE and if it is not captured properly in the artwork the viewer gets frustrated and "deletes" (rejects and dismisses) the image.

1. good job catching the action! but the light post in the left corner is very distracting, and the whole picture's a little dark.

2. pretty, but the dark shadow around the bottom is distracting again.

3. pretty good. it could have been zoomed more, but i'm guessing your camera doesn't zoom far enough?

4. it's pretty, but it's really just a snapshot. maybe try a more unique angle!

5. again, just a snap shot. it could've been a lot better with a different angle.

6. you got a great angle this time, but it's blurry. i think this is also just due to your camera.

7. veryyy nice lighting. good eye.

8. great lighting! nice shot overall, but the horizon's a TINY bit crooked.

9. very pretty view! but the excess stuff is distracting again. (the car mirror, lamp post.)

overall you have a good eye for things! you're on the right track. please don't take any of my comments as insults, they're just little things to look out for that will make your photography great if you pay attention to them. just keep taking pictures as often as possible. experiment with angles, lighting, etc. you'll improve in no time!

These pictures are beautiful! I think you have talent at capturing things... Keep up the good work!
