  1. alright here is how it goes

for rogues you need blue you NEED blue

by not having blue you cut yourself out of almost half the possible options your deck could have.

scarecrows are fun but there is little they can do well.

slivers are awesome that is a fact if you can play a good sliver deck you will anyone without removal or mass removal.

i will go into slivers because they are the most awesome.

alright i assume you have no access to retro slivers and stick to modern ones.

green has gemhide AWESOME definitely a four of

green has might sliver AWESOME definitely a four of if you can pay for it on turn 3 a definite possibility if you have 4 gemhides.

now i have played green white slivers and they aren't big enough

go green white red and this is why

ok red has two headed sliver(time spiral) and bone splitter sliver(time spiral).

two headed sliver forces your opponent to block each sliver with two creatures so they can block half as much

    bone splitter gives slivers +2/+0

    white has some good ones.

ok white has sinew sliver(planar chaos) and watcher sliver(time spiral)

ok sinew is a smaller cheaper easier might sliver.gives+1/+1

watcher sliver is defensiveit gives +0/+2

now with the gemhides you can splash other slivers so add in 3 shadow sliver and dont play them until your slivers can deal 20 damage or you'll lose. they give all sliver shadow(that means they cant block or be blocked so be careful)

ok i have mentioned 6 four of's( all common except might sliver)and 1 three of.

so you should have 22-23 lands as you choose (don't use any that come into play tapped you want speed.)

the amount of land you have should be proportionate to the number of mana symbols in your deck

here is a formulae. ok say i have 56 mana symbols in the costs in my deck. 23 of them are green i will divide 23 by 56 and then multiply the answer by 100 the answer is what pecentage of my land should be forest(or able to produce green mana)

ok you have 27 nonland cards and you can have 37-38

you need some removal of your own.

in my experience you cant go past oblivion ring it is a greast cheap little card and no one has enchantment removal often 4 copies ok.

    lignify is good too

wrath of od isn't your friend.

    i wont suggest any rares.

hm we have 31 nonland cards so we have 6 spaces left.

two three ofs lorwyn commands would be good but difficult to obtain

ok i cant think of anything right now but6 slots open.

dont worry if you dont have 4 of the things i suggested older players dont value their commons at all and for a card they want they will give you most of what they need and they dont play slivers because they beleive their retro slivers are much better.

any way email me at jordonmorrissey@hotmail.com i will be interested to see what you fill those slots with and how the deck goes.

  2. the rogue deck is a possibility but it has run into a few problems in the tournaments. It has trouble beating black, because your fear creature doesnt get through and your prowl is gone. the second problem is red. doing damage to either your first creatures(which would stop prowl) or your synergy cards(which would make your creatures weak) can hurt the deck. Your specific deck may still get damage through because of the removal, but the more removal cards you have, the less rogues you have which could be a problem.

scarcrows just cannot survive in tournaments play. your opponent will have at least three creatures in play when you have one, and he will most likely remove it and just beat you down.

slivers are alright, but just so you know, most people dont like them. Just like in legions, they are far too powerful and a huge mistake from mtg. there's no reason why you wouldnt be able to rush out your opponent(other than removal of key slivers) but few people respect a sliver deck

  3. I think monoblack rouges is decent, and if you put the time into it could be lethal.

Scarecrows even with the edition are too slow, and because of the 5 colors rather impractical.

I ran a green, white, red, sliver deck at fnm this weak and it did pretty well.  you really need the red for haste.  haste + gemhide = everything on 1 turn
