  1. If Global warming was the reason, then it would have taken years for the lake to disappear. Maybe yeah, it was an earthquake, it looks like that is the only possible reason, although I do agree that maybe a developing volcano could have done it too -- I believe that developing volcanoes actually cause earthquakes, so yeah........ I go for a volcano... :)

  2. Why do they even have a global warming section. Its not real. The world is not becoming a giant oven slowly heating to 230 degrees. It is not evaporating lakes. his is completely natural. It is a cycle that happens every now and again. All of the heat spots on the sun dissapeared and have to have time to come back so that the sun will be cooler. It is all science.

  3. I THINK THE LAKE DISAPPEARING IS NOT FROM GLOBAL WARMING BUT FROM SOME THING ELSE

  4. Lake Naivasha in Kenya dried up for 200 years during the MWP.   You could say it "disappeared."

  5. I'd check the soccer stadium in Santiago...sorry, really bad joke..no disrespect intended to the Desparacidos!  Maybe there is a sink hole.  Lakes in Florida do that sometimes, but they are in karst topography, the photo doesn't look like karst.  In Florida, the sink holes develop a clay plug that acts like a plug in a drain.  When the clay plug breaches, the lakes flow into the underlying rock.  On the other hand, maybe it is a really thristy cupacabra.

  6. it got evapourated up by the sun???

either than or i agree with the dude that says aliens took it LOL ;D

  7. Someone must have pulled the stopper from the drain..........

  8. Chili is on the "Pacific Ring of Fire" - which is highly active now in the western Pacific.

Judging from the picture & 4 people standing by it = it is more of a 'puddle' than a lake.

Anyone care to explain the heat in the Western Pacific?

  9. Earth quake must have made a crack in the floor and it drained away.,

Unless it was stolen by Aliens.

  10. A fissure in the Earth opened and it all drained into it. That's the best conclusion since it's in the Andes.

The Andes is prone to that sort of stuff.

  11. its very interesting i am not sure what the scientists think it could be start ing of volcanoe or someting big i dnt know eitehr.

  12. ITS OVER THE UK AT THE MOMENT PISSING DOWN
