  1. She sure has accomplished a lot for someone with "little experience".  That article also ignores that fact that she has EXECUTIVE experience which is different than legislative experience.

  2. Seems a little "slanted" for a legitimate news article...especially when quoting the minimum number of "experts" to be able to use the term "scholars" in the headline...

....I wonder what the authors say about Obama's "experience"...?

  3. They're doing what they do best.  Dig up dirt and demonize when they don't know what else to do.  Try looking up the "TRUTHFUL STUFF".

  4. Sexist pigs.  Bet they never questioned Obama's lack of.

  5. Politico?- when can I stop laughing?

  6. I think the article is incredibly biased. And Palin's experience does not make Obama look like "an elder statesmen." Why am I supposed to listen to the 'wisdom' of obvious Obama supporters?

  7. About the same as I think about anything off that blog....not much at all.  Here's a concept:  Try researching on your own and read about her, instead of believing in the opinions of anyone else.  Read facts, not analysis.  Because analyses are like opinions, and a certain anatomical feature....everybody has one.

  8. The Article is factual, but Republicans are stubborn and they have a way of twisting facts to support whatever they want to believe. People on this site all day have been making the ridiculous argument that she has more experience than Obama, and they believe that. So I guess the Governor of Guam should be the next President using that Logic. I am a Democrat, but Obama does not have a blank check to treat My Country any way he wants but it appears that A republican will defend anything that their leaders do no matter the cost.

  9. Unfortunately it is true and McCain could have easily made a better decision for the position.  You won't find any criticism from people who blindly support their party.

I really can't believe that people think Palin has experience.  Instead of being critical and open-minded about her experience, people are comparatively judging her rather than absolutely judging her.

  10. She has more experience than Obama, who is running for the number ONE spot on the other side. Obama has a thin resume, if anything at all, of what he has done for the public and Palin's is proven what she has done for the people of her state. Who by the way give her an 80% approval rating. What does Obama have? Joe Biden? A couple of well scripted speeches? Bring on the thumbs down, cracks about McCain's age, more of the same blah blah blah.

  11. Written by dems for dems. Not a serious piece of journalism.

  12. i think its right on the money!

  13. As I have said, the media has, in their minds already elected Obama. I hope they do as they did in 1948 when they elected Thomas Dewey as president of the United States.

I loved that picture of Truman holding their newspaper up with the headline, "DEWEY WINS", and Harry Truman went back into the White House for a second term.

The news media has been behind Obama since day one. They defeated all his opposition for the position. Even when he was behind in the polls, they stated that he would pull ahead. Now they are doing their best to push him into the job, by slamming possibly the best candidate either party has ever ran, PALIN.

  14. The article is about what is expected of scholars. Many liberals went into teaching after the 60's died down, ostensibly to try to reach the next generation. That is all well and good and while I do agree with some of what they say, they have a certain stance and agenda that they will push above anything else.  Keep your own mind and evaluate Palin on your own.  I researched her and found that her stances and views are solid.  As for change, she took on, fought and won against deep corruption in Alaska politics.  Hard to do in a state known for disparity between men and women!

  15. She's a wild card.

  16. I think everyone has an opinon.

  17. I thought it was an interesting and well researched article. I hope others will read it all the way through. Sarah IS too inexperienced and lacks the right kind of education. High rolling McCain is taking a big game with the future of the U.S.A.

And since when has it become a negative to be scholarly and educated historians like those interviewed in this article?

  18. The article is biased. When you attack integrity you can only hurt yourself.

She may be a woman, but she has more balls than most men.

I can't believe that there is actually someone who would take on the corruption of her own party and win. And that she cleaned up all the special interest garbage in her state.

To me, that is the kind of stuff that usually only happens in movies.

That is the kind of experience that means something to me.

Everything I hear about her just makes me like her more, which is the exact opposite with Obama.

  19. i think she doesnt have enough experience in public service. plain and simple.

  20. interesting...

  21. I think it was put out by desparate democrats.  I don't care- McCain/Palin have my 100% support- She is awesome- a truly good public servant which is so unusual!!  It cracks me up that the democrats are suddenly soooo concerned about "experience".  LOL!

  22. I agree with Fox Tech Buffs.

  23. The Obama campaign thanks McCain.

  24. If the crappy job done to date by the politicians in both parties is an indication of what experience buys you then I'm ready for an outsider to come in and clean house.

And she does have more executive experience than Obama, Biden, Gore, Ferraro, Mondale and Quayle put together.

  25. SCHOLARS is the key word here. In other words, LIBERALS . Of course they are going to put her down just like others will boost her up. Anyone can pick and choose to tear anyone down if they wish and that is what they do according to their political views. Gather your own facts and decide if you like her or not.

Being the Governor of a state like Arkansas who has the some of the worst credentials in education did not seem to hurt Clinton and we know how much they worshiped him .

  26. Good article and right on the money.  So, this VP pick shows McCain really has poor judgment....can we afford for his to be President??

  27. It's the truth
