What do you think about this fella?

My cousin has recently met up with this fella that she knew as a child. They chat on messenger and on the webcam so they have seen each other. He is 45 and he still lives with his mum who is ill and he looks after her, but she wants to meet up with him. He wont speak on the webcam, or on the phone because he is too nervous and shy. She has suggested that they meet up but he never does anything about it, he will say ok and leave it there. He never seems to go out according to her. He has a good job, He still lives in the same house he grew up in. I think he just wants an internet relationship, because that is all he can cope with, but what do you think she should do?

Something is up with this guy. It sounds like he has some serious self esteem issues.  Tell her to move on.

He sounds like Norman Bates. He probably murdered his mother and her body is in the attic sitting in the rocking chair. He may be like Ed Gein though and likes wearing peoples skin.  

On a serious note, This guy is 45 and can't even talk on the phone. He may have social anxiety and may not be able to handle normal social interactions. I would just be friends online and find a man who can live in the real world who doesn't keep his dead mother in the attic and wear peoples skin.

She should confront him and ask him whether he loves her. And if he does, they should take it to the next step. He should stop being a coward.

Can you verify that he still lives with his mother.  Could be he is a lying rat and is married and just wants a bit of fun without it going to far?
