why not buy a powerful desktop that will play all the games and get a £400 laptop for general internet surfing if u have this amount of money to spend

It would have been very useful if you sated for what purpose you are going to use the laptop. Are you in full time education? Do you travel around alot?

I had alook at the specs for the laptop and what first came across my mind is that this is a very powerful media laptop. So if you are likely to play graphics intensive games and watch alot movies etc. then this will staisfy your needs. However, the battery life on this thing will not be great and it will be very heavy. The price tag? Well for such a souped up laptop I'm not surprised that it costs over a grand.

If you want to save a bit of money, I suggest either heading over to ebuyer and browse some of the laptops they have on offer there. I've been a customer for over 5 years and ebuyer is fantastic. Also, if you are into games, movies, and running intensive applications etc. then I also suggest having a look at the Dell XPS.

It's really nice, good specs. It would probably be cheaper to get a desktop with those specs though. Do you really need 4gb memory and 500gb hard drive?
