I think she sounds pretty secure in herself and that she has her own opinions on the situation.  I like her donate a can of food idea, or even an instead of gifts for us please bring something to donate to a womens shelter for the kids that are invariably there, maybe they need it more then the parents to be do.

What is there to think? She has her opinion on the situation, as do many people. I myself think throwing your OWN baby shower is tacky and it is basically telling people to buy you gifts.

I helped plan mine but my mother and best friend threw it for me.

i agree with Noah's mommy.... i think throwing your own is very tacky. Not to mention this woman came across as very arrogant and acting like she is a millionaire or something. bottom line- if someone wants to throw you a shower.... let them!!!
