What do you think about this poll result from Maxim Magazine?

Question

In a Maxim magazine poll called "The 100 things woemn will not tell you" (for men). There was one response that really stood out for me.

It said "About 50% of females would rather be run over by a truck than be fat".

i think that is a really stupid question anyway...i don't want to be overweight because it is unhealthy...i don't want to be hit by a truck for obvious reasons. so i wouldn't know what to pick as there is no smart answer to the question. the poll is hypothetical...not to be taken too seriously.

I think there is a double entendre in there somewhere.  as in, getting run over by a truck might flatten them out.

Put them in front of a truck for real, and 100% of them would change their mind.

Thats just stupid. Although if i was asked that on the street I would say yes I would rather be run over by a truck but only because I would be joking because it is a stupid question, the women who said that were just taking the p**s out of the person asking.

I always shake my head at Maxim's "polls." Their sample populations are hilarious. So many things are just so not true for MOST women, yet they'll have some whack poll results.

They probably went to a psych ward at some hospital, and polled 50 anorexics and bulimics that question. They found out that 25/50 of those anorexics/bulimics would rather be run over by a truck than be fat, and they post it on their magazine! Whoopee!
