A tree falls in a forest with only one person. This person just happens to be deaf. Does the tree make a sound?

There is sound if your definition of sound is the waves in the atmosphere and there is no sound if your definition of sound is the effect on the hearing apparatus of a human being....

Actually trees don't make sounds.  They are quiet.

Yes,   even if there is no person there to hear it.

The tree obviously makes a sound.

Sound isn't caused by our ears,  it's caused by the tree hitting another object.    IT will always make a sound lol ;)
