The issue is that an american president talking about a war is no longer enough for the countries at war to take note.  6 years ago, an american president saying 'stop the war' would have been enough for one party to call a cease fire.. weve lost so much respect, our voice means nothing.

The idiot president of Georgia used his US trained army to invade two regions that have been operating with de-facto Independence instead of resorting to a plebiscite or diplomacy.  Now he's burnt his fingers, his legs and his **** with this misadventure.

Why does Bush do nothing?

Why do you assume Bush is God?  Who is he to tell any sovereign nation anything?  Have you forgotten the US invasion of sovereign Iraq and Afghanistan in the recent past?  What moral right does he possess that allows him to say anything?

Well, because there isn't much that he or America can do. Russia has grown too strong, mostly due to its oil, and America has grown weaker under the Bush administration and the Gulf war. America simply doesn’t carry the same weight in the world as it used to. It is truly a sad day when America can’t even protect its most loyal of allies, or should I say the few allies we still have left!

I feel that I should point out that Georgia has been fighting alongside the US in Iraq and has supported the US invasion of Iraq from the very beginning.

But that's the US for ya...a sad empty shell of a once great nation!
