What do you think about what I think?

Patience Discharged

Over analyzing the obvious

The dog is dead

Temporal heat no rest for my head

Ceaseless senseless seeking an answer

Thoughts burn painless cancer

Victimless crime of mental mayhem

Overcharged for thinking out loud

Light glares blinding the crowd

Harmless diatribe for internal release

Trying to be heard over deafening silence

Abstract studies confuse man’s science

Written words floating free-fall for all

Darts of wisdom tossed blind man’s aim

Over exposing self no need for blame

Captive audience seeking the escape hatch

Lacking intent disconcerting societal masses

Self absorption binding separation of classes

Behind freedoms’ door the full length mirror

The gray matters

  3. You expressed those words right eloquently.  You have a real instinct for sanity, while so much of the world is nuts...turn on any TV, any station, any time.

  4. I believe this is an intense and powerful "diatribe for internal release", an outpouring of thoughts originating and emanating from overwhelming emotion.  "Overcharged for thinking out loud" brings to mind my perspective on my therapy.  This is a thought provoking poem with many brilliant lines.  Thank you.

  5. Indeed the gray does matter, the gray matter of mind, the shadows in which we all find ourselves ensconced through day to day living. This poem is deeply moving and impassioned. I find though, the most impacting line, to my eyes, being "Victimless crime of mental mayhem."

Can there be such a thing as a victimless crime, or is this a statement that you will no longer be the victim of your own mind. I am very much intrigued, and will ponder this for a great while. Thank you for the inspiring read.

  6. When we search for truth, whether we know it or not we search for God.

Sorrow is part of the joy of life, we none escape either one.

Get out of the problem, into the solution, Happiness is an

inside job, Time to get off the pity pot, sit too long causes constipation. You are an excellent poet.
