I think he's been doing his research while under the influence of magic mushrooms.

Had his research been on different species from the Amazon, since 96% has yet to be explored, then it would be something to take into consideration.

But faries and pixies?

I'm sure a few in here could relate to him...........

I have heard those who have had a spiritual awakening will see things in a different light, partially due to there change in consciousness.  They are not letting their egoric behavior or thoughts control them, they are in the moment.  

When one can sense nature, or peace with no thoughts attached, it is a spiritual awakening.  Much like when you smell the winter air and that small breeze on your face, that is the time you are one with nature and you are living by spirit.  This is your true spiritual self.

When we can learn to let go of our mind chatter, and negative thinking, we will be able to harness such energy as this person has.  Anything is possible, we just have to learn to let our troubles and doubts disolve, and stop thinking about ourselves and what others think.  This is when a spiritual awakening happens, or so I have heard.

i think he needs to attend a spa with a radiology department, in other words he needs his head examined. there is a reason science requires things to be testable falsifiable and repeatable. one man's delusion is not the best line of evidence for the existence of anything.
