What do you think about when a storm is coming?

I get so excited! I love the air filled with anticipation! I think happy, excited thoughts!

I love thunder storms, They are exciting and watching the lighting far in the distance come closer and closer gives a feeling of great anticipation of torrential rain. The noise of thunder and the sound of the rain falling on my roof settles my nerves and makes me feel good.

I love tornadoes, ever since I saw one when I was 15.  If I had it to do over again, I would probably be a storm-chaser.

Ugh!  I live on a farm.  Storms can be VERY bad here.  I live in the high mountain desert of Idaho (4700+ feet elivation).  

We can have blizzards that drop the temperature the more than negative 60 (F)!!

We have thunder snow sometimes.

We have dust storms, so you can hardly see the road.

We have howling winds several times a year with winds over 80MPH.

We have thunder and MAJOR lightening storms.

Ever been outside moving irregation line (it's 20 foot METAL pipes) and seen lightening?  Talk about scarey!

How about having a horse cut an artery open in a 50 mph (the winds) blizzard, where the temps are in the negative 60's?  It took two hours for the Vet to drive the 8 miles to my farm.  Fortunatly I'd long since stopped the bleeding.

Ever had to feed livestock in a dust storm?  You will have grit in every pour of your body. Your mouth will be dry and gritty.  Your lips will crack open and bleed in minutes.  You have to wear goggles to protect your eyes, or you could be blind.

When you live on a farm, and have over 100 animals depending on you for their saftey and well being, it's hard to look forward to storm.  

By 6PM tonight, we will have 50mph winds, with snow.  I have 15 baby goats outside right now, ranging in age from 4 days, to 3 hours old.  I also have about 40 more pregnant does who are going to give birth this week.  Not looking forward to this next storm at all.

It's going to be a cold night and I am happy because i will sleep hugging my pillow tight and snuggling beside my sister, getting the warmth of her body while she's very asleep and doesn't know what's happening, get her blanket till she shivers then i'll cover her if she punches me.

I think that my house is going to get struck by lightening or that the roof will get blown off because i hate stuff like that

I agree, i love cold, dark weather! many people do not like it but it is my favorite! snow storms are the best though!

I run like h**l in case theres lightening and I hate to get wet in the rain!!!
