What do you think about yahoo collaborating with the chinese government by turning over his online records??

check yahoo news. Should we protest by cancelling our yahoo accounts????? please vote and let yahoo know how you feel. NO company is supposed to violate customer privacy without a federal warrant. PERIOD.

I agree that it is a serious violation of privacy rights; but you have to remember a few things.

1) Privacy laws are different in China.

2) If Yahoo didn't do it, the Chinese government would probably just steal the Yahoo software and set up their own service.

3) The Patriot Act can be used to do similar things here if the President so determines

I agree.  I am watching the story right now on the news and I'll be damned if I will allow my privacy to be violated.
