What do you think are the best restaurants in Toronto

Just having a discussion with some friends about the best places to have a meal in Toronto.

I am a sucker for Thai food, so Salad King is a nice place to just drop by and have a meal. But of course with reservations Canoe, North 44, and Scaramouche came up.

What do you think are the best places in Toronto to eat? Do you prefer a nice place to just drop in...or a fine dining experience?

try the steak houses.. .Toronto is known for some of their steak houses

I don't like spending too much for a meal but as long as i'm full, i think i'm getting my money's worth.

a really great thai place is the thai bangkok on spadina just south of college. the portions are huge and the price is insanely low.

more upscale but still with the asian influence is rain. you will need reservations though.
