  1. Good, bad, and undifined.

  2. there are only 3 different classifications of ghosts

    1. Residual- meaning that they do things over and over, like a looped tape recorder. This classification can not interact, however you can see them.

    2. Intelligent - Which these can interact, they know what is going on and can be seen and can be communicated with.

    3. Poltergeist - which translated into "noisy ghost". These are the mischievous ones that will move objects and they are able to interact as well.

  3. no because there is no such thing.

  4. Good question! There are a lot of different types, I know from personal experiences of:

Poltergeists, invisible, noisy, moving things, opening and closing doors.

Spirit light or Orbs, small bright light, about golf ball size, moves around the house, fast or slow speed, can move through walls and floors.

Apparitions, full or partial body, solid or transparent, interactive  or non interactive, moving and non moving.

Shadow people/ghost, 2 dimensional black looks like a shadow on a wall, blacker then a shadow, seem to be watching people, very fast moving or standing still,  seem to slip into wall corners or floors.

Spirit voices, disembodied vocalizations, can be heard clearly with your ears, sometimes can only be heard by psychics.

  5. In response to Toad - bad sign guy - I think your fish are plotting to get you.

    classifications of ghosts:

    Super intelligent

    ho hum

dumber than a box of rocks

  6. Misperceptions of ordinary objects, artifacts of photography, wishful thinking on the part of the bereaved, and just plain bull.

  7. 1. Scary

    2. Downright scary

    3. OMG Run!!

    Have a great day ~G~

  8. Since ghosts or spirits are really a matter of belief without much evidence, and you can't "test" a ghost to see what kind it is, you can believe in as many different kinds of spirits as your particular religious/spiritual inclination allows.

  9. I woke up this morning and on the inside of the fish tank was written the letters "O" "M" "G" written with lipstick.

    what is OMG?

  10. truthfully you can break them down to two types earthly spirits which fits some of the previous mentioned spirits and then there are negative spirits which can be shadow people poltergeists and in some instances demonic in nature for me this is the easiest

  11. The number one classification is imaginary.Number two is also imaginary. In fact that's the only classification. With all do respect to other opinions, that's what I think.

  12. This is scary subject. Please.

  13. dude ghosts don't exist...it is a result of the hyperactivation of the temporal lobe; email me if you want information on this.

  14. usually defined into three categories:

Residual - just does the same thing over and over again and doesn't see anyone else or know where it is.

Intelligent - recognizes the living, sometimes moving things and making noises, appearing when wanted to be seen by the living, can be protective over a house or object

Poltergeist - noisy ghost, mostly centered around adolescents under stress..activity is drawn to them and materializes because of them, although it is not their fault

a fourth type of haunting is inhuman, or demonic haunting, which is by far the scariest of them all, and although rare, should not be taken lightly.

  15. This is hard to do . everybody interprets ghosts a different way , They  Never actually seen one , but they try .

It's just like When people give classifications to angels or demons . You can't , never seen the hierarchy

  16. There are many different classifications of ghosts.

The classification systems often vary by researcher or investigator as well as what is being researched.

An early example of the classification of apparitions can be found in "Apparitions" by G.N.M. Tyrell.

More recent examples can be found in the books listed below.

    Recently I use the following:

    1. Experimental (inducing or projecting an apparition)

    2. Crisis (a person in trauma like a car wreck)

    3. Postmortem (a deceased person by at least 12 hours)

    4. Recurrent localized (a traditional ghost in a haunting)

  17. I don't use labels for ghosts and the term poltergeist literally means noisy ghost. A ghost is just a person without a body.

Some ghost hunters use labels for different kinds of haunting and ghosts, but for me personally this is just not necessary.

Ghosts are real but as far as the different labellings there is no evidence  for it. It is merely something some ghost hunters do and it is a belief system. Nothing wrong with it but nothing wrong with not labeling them either. It is personal preference based on their belief and view.

  18. Classification can be difficult when talking about a subject that doesn't have independently measurable or observable characteristics.  One could say there are as many classifications of ghosts as there are people who report having seen them.

  19. I dont differentiate ghosts. A ghost is a ghost. Now if your talking of evil, thats a different story.

  20. There are many, many different kinds of entities that people might interact with and call ghosts. There are human spirits, angels, demons, shadow people, faeries, gnomes, leprechauns, goblins, etc. There are certain closed-minded people who don't even acknowledge the existence of leprechauns and gnomes, but an open-minded paranormal investigator will consider ALL the possibilities. The most important classification is human vs. non-human.

  21. There are shadow people, who are just as they sound, look like a shadow.

Residual spirits repeat the same movement or theme over and over.

Intelligent spirits try to interact with you or mess with or try to scare you.

There are deamon spirits that are sent to oppress, possess or otherwise occupy.

There are also things called elemantles that are negative energies...possibly linked with deamon activity. They mean no good at all. Elemantles normally have a rancid or decaying odor that travels with them.

Fairies are also of the negative energies. They tend to be rather small and short.

I forgot the Poltergeists. They are usually chaotic.

There are others, but for sake of time subcategories aren't important.

    Hope this helps. Nana

  22. I agree with TR and since this is a subject that there are alot of areas unknown, it's not really easily answered. I would talk to someone who has had experiences all their lives..u know in seeing and feeling things that not everyone can, they would know most forms.
