I have to do an historical investigation on anything in history and I was just looking for some inspiration, because it has to be very specific. I would prefer not to do anything on WWII or American history. I want to study something fascinating, and maybe obscure, but has a lot of info written about it. I don't really want to be banging my head on the keyboard in boredom after writing the first few pages... What do you think?

  4. Do a little research on the Spanish armada "Invincible Navy" and their attack on England. Very interesting things happened.

I know you said you prefer not American. But did you know more colonists fought on the side of the British, than with Washington? Or most of the revolutionists died broke, in prison, or in hiding?  The "Boston Massacre" started with a snowball, and an African-American was among the first killed. Lots of interesting things not commonly known there.
