  1. Traditionally Speaking you cannot be Homosexual and Muslim at the same time. The numbers don't add up. You can't claim to follow the Qur'an and then reject some verses of it.

I am not against Homosexuals but you have to understand that most people who claim to be Muslim are brought up by Muslim parents, so they claim to be Muslim. This can be true for many people, one person who claims to be Muslim but does not practice Islam.

  2. it is haraam according the Quran

it's a sin like any other

and Allah will decide the outcome of that when you die

  3. Well, in theory, you can't be a Christian and g*y either. However, that doesn't stop many g*y people who come from Christian backgrounds.

So I don't know how g*y Muslims reconcile their sexual orientation with their beliefs, but I imagine it must be as difficult for them as it is for Christians.

  4. to be a muslim u cannot be g*y

so wen you say a g*y muslim, (hope der isnt any out der)

    it just doesnt add up

so, u aint gonna get much responses

  5. I'm a Muslim and if that's what they choose to do then that's up to them. I have no problem with that.

  6. You cannot be a Muslim and you practice homosexuality.

Christians think the same right. So its just the same. No one can be close to Allah and he is practicing such evil and dirty acts!

  7. Well if they really love men, then they cannot be a Muslim, and good on them I say,a s religion onli causes hatred.

  8. They need help. People shouldn't go against them and disrespect them but instead we should help them and inform them that homosexuality is a great sin in Islam, inform them about the consequences of homosexuality in Islam and that Allah will reward them for being strong, having self control and not taking part in g*y activities.

  9. Personally and Islamically;

I don't believe you can be both g*y and muslim. You can be born as a muslim and choose the path of being g*y but if you are a true follower of Islam or any religion that is, then you cannot be g*y.

  10. I don't understand how someone can be Muslim and g*y - being g*y is a choice you make and Islam condemns that. So whatever you do God will never accept it.

I myself do not hate or discriminate against other peoples choices, none of us are perfect and make bad decisions in life - i believe to live and let live is the best way, to concentrate on your own wrong doing and to follow Islam close to your heart as Allah intends.

  11. I'm really happy to read Adam's answer. He is the first Muslim I ever met who said that being g*y doesn't instantly make you a non-Muslim. Homosexuality is a sin according to Islam, but nowhere is it described as a direct ticket to the world of non-Muslims.

Anyway, back to your question. Even when I was a Muslim I always had tolerance for homosexuals, simply because it's none of my business what other people do in the privacy of their bedroom as long as the thing is mutually consensual. My opinion hasn't altered.

But sadly (and as if I need to emphasize :p) I was pretty much in solitude when it came to my stance on homosexuality (at least where I come from).

  12. if a muslim is g*y he will not go to heaven he will stay in h**l because his prayers will not count

  13. g**s are disgusting....that's my opinion..

    g**s are rubbish.

  14. I am a religious muslim g*y. Being g*y is not a choice as many believes. So it is difficult to be religious and g*y as the religion condemns the homosexuality and at the same time you have no choice of who you are. It is strange, isn't it?

Muslims in general, are against homosexuality. But to be honest, many many of my friends who almost know about my sexual orientation like and respect me. Therefore, I believe g**s may change the bad image people have about them.

  15. It does NOT remove them from Islam. Its a sin, like any other. Its bad for us, so we're warned against it. There is no stoning prescibed in Al Qur'an. The punishment isn't listed even, so I'd reason that it qualifies the same as adultery.

Hadiths and hadith-based pronouncements from imams aside, here's all the Qu'an says about it.

4:16 - If two men among you are guilty of lewdness, punish them both. If they repent and amend, LEAVE THEM ALONE; for Allah is Oft-returning, Most Merciful.

4:17 - Allah accept the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards; to them will Allah turn in mercy: For Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom.

Edit: I've been checking more thoroughly about this since the last post, I had to go somewhere earlier. The case of Sodom and Prophet Lot is famous, everyone knows it.

The other is 4:15 - having to do with women.

"If any of your women are guilty of lewdness, Take the evidence of four (Reliable) witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine them to houses until death do claim them, or Allah ordain for them some (other) way."

So, there's that. Pretty wide open. The difference between men's cases and women' is of guardianship. If the guardian can't leave their ward, for worry that the ward will bring harm to him/herself, there needs to be a way to keep them safe. Amends is always open. Works the same way as sending the child to their room for wrongdoing until they recognize the problem.

My worry about this is the extremes on both sides. Those with these proclivities should take the admonition and work on this. Otherwise, Lut's situation may not stay an isolated case.

Those on the other end, who say  they're no muslims, etc. had better feel pretty secure with their own freedom from sin, and question where they got the idea that they should abandon their brothers and sisters so easily. Were they ever your brothers and sisters?

  16. arent they as free to make their own choices in life as i am?! its not my place to judge them or condem them to h**l cause well im just a human and its not in my job description. ;)

  17. I think they are just any other human beings and they deserve to live and be treated fairly unlike what extremists have to say.

If you think about it they are still human beings right why do they deserve to be persecuted?

I think we should all mind our business and stop messing with others personal life
