  1. Hi! Banana plants are not Trees or bushes, and i do not believe they are palms.

They are similar to a palm due to their pseudostem, or "fake stem", as it is made up of overlapping leaves. I would not call it an herb, though it may be used for flavor, so technically it may be called it. Truthfully, it is more of a bulb if you ask me, due to the fact that the plant dies back and grows after the winter, and it grows from rhizomes, which are underground roots that spread and go dormant in winter usually, which is very similar to a bulb. both are in the category and proper name of "geophyte", which is a underground storage organ for the plant.

Now, As for worlds biggest, i do not think it is the world's biggest of any of the four, sorry!

So to sum it all up, Banana plants are:

    Geophyte or Rhizomes,

    Herbs,

    and possibly palms.

    Hope i helped!

  2. Its a palm, although some have called it an herb. But it is not a tree by any means.
