  1. Not unless we can stop ourselves and every other lifeform on earth from passing gas.

  2. Didn't we stop that in the '80s? I thought it went out with Howard Jones.

  3. dipleation?

    I think you meant depletion.

The simple answer is 'Nothing', since it is the sun which creates ozone and there is no depletion or has there ever been any 'Hole'!

Simple basic knowledge and facts will never stand in the way of the 'Enviro-n***s' however.

Proper science was never needed to get CFC usage banned, and now these lunatics have moved on to CO2 as a new mythical threat.

They claim this in the name of science, while ignoring any real science.

This farce has become the largest money-making scam of all time.

If there was no money to be made, it would not have gone as far as it has.

  4. Wrong the ozone layer is doing great and nothing has touched it.. It is where the solar winds collide with the earth's magnetic field. Not even hydrogen can get that high. The CFC  are far to heavy to ever effected the ozone layer. The hole that appears and disippears depends on how active the sun is.

  5. Stop using CFC emitters.Control Global warming.

  6. The chemicals that deplete the ozone layer have been banned for decades.  We just have to sit back and wait for the ones already in the air to degrade.

  7. Never in a million years.

  8. Well they told us that if we banned CFCs and threw lots of people out of their jobs, at least temporarily until they found new ones, then that would stop ozone layer depletion.

That obviously wasn't true.   We BANNED CFCs 21 years ago and the ozone hole is no smaller.

So why should we listen to them this time?

  9. ya its possible but only if evry individual understands his/her responsibility n duty 2wards d enviornment n v impliment different ways of doing so v shld also ban chemicals like CFCs n HCFCs

  10. It's the chlorine in CFC's that is doing the damage.   Just because we banned CFC's doesn't mean we don't still pump many tons of Chlorine into the air still.   Unless you want to cut chlorine use out for the cheaper and safer alternatives that are available but people don't know about or trust yet there isn't much we can do but wait.   Guess we could airlift thousands of tons of O3 into the stratosphere and dump it off- might help.

  11. We've already done what needs to be done to stop it (i.e. ban CFCs), we just need to wait for the chlorine in the stratosphere to disappear.

  12. I think we can stop the damage to the ozone layer-holes near polar regions-by cutting down our greenhouse gas emissions. Aerosol sprays, freon emissions from refrigerators etc.are the main culprits in this regard. If we take care to eliminate or reduce these emissions, the ozone layer may be saved.

  13. ozone layer in the world has depleted very much in recent years.its not easy to stop it but some measures that can be taken are:

    1)reduce the use of cfc's

2)common environmental factors like-make less pollution, take into account the greenhouse gases, take preventive measures, etc.

  14. Probably not.  We can, but probably won't seeing how people today are stuck up and don't care for the environment kids these days are becoming even more stuck up than their parents so I believe one day we'll just drain the world rotten B).  So can we?  yes.  Will  we? probably not.  We need a leader who will get all the people to listen and unite!

  15. I recently read an article in scientific america saying that they ozone layer has thickened over the last couple of years.  Its been forever since I've heard anyone complaint about the ozone layer.

  16. Yes, we can stop the depletion. The simplified science behind this depletion is the chemical reactions of chloro fluro carbons (CFCs) with ozone, lesser CFCs would mean lesser reactions, lesser depletion. It may not be possible to STOP it immediately, but of course we can reduce the rate of depletion of it,and over time it may stabilise. However,it needs environmental consciousness in the society to do this and improved technology to achieve this.

  17. The hole in the ozone has mostly patched itself up since we quit using CFCs in aerosol spray cans.  All we can really do now is wait for it to completely heal over, and hope that nobody does anything incredibly stupid before then.

  18. we can't stop, but we can slow down.

  19. As far as I know, since the government of most of the countries had banned the use of CFC's the Ozone Hole is filling and if my dear friend, you didn't know this fact it is good that now u know it now.

The Ozone hole depletion to a lot of extent has come to a standstil.

  20. We stopped using CFC's, I think that did it.
