What do you think causes child prodigies?

..especially those extremely young children who can play Bach etc. on the piano without any lessons?

good genes to begin with and even better parenting.

genes play a part, i dunno abt parents becuz there are a lot of child prodigies who have had semi-bad parents...its also a matter of statistics...i mean if you gather 10 million children therez bound to be one or 2 who have sum kind of gift for, say, music or writing etc.

Genes and having your parents in the right place at the right time.Also interesting are Idiot Savants(I'm not happy with that term).
