do you think there is anything wrong with getting engaged mutually?

you know, like say now you and your bf (who have been together long time... over two years) talk and decide its time to make the next step?

would you think there is something wrong with that? or do you think that it has to be done the traditional way? (man asks woman suprisingly)

  1. i think you should do it the traditional way, it's better and you'll lovee it better. Whatever you decide is your choice but personally i like the surprise! It's much better to do it that way and think what story you can tell your friends, family, and kids when/if you have any! Don't you want to be engaged romantically? it's a life long commitment, don't you want to enjoy it romantically?!

  2. as long as you guys have an understanding then it's ok

  3. It's great that you both decided it was the right time and both of you want to get married.

But eventually the man should propose with the ring. If you're going to go with the tradition of marriage shouldn't you let him do his part and offer you his ring? Now don't go and get him an engagement ring now.

  4. Nope.  It  can be done any way you two feel comfortable with.  Every relationship is different.

    Marco!

  5. we talked about it openly...but when he actually proposed to me...i had no f-ing clue it was coming...he did it all romantic and stuff...i didn't even know there were roses on the table until we sat down...i would make sure you are on the same page with taking it to the next step, but, he can still surprise you

  6. However you get there doesn't matter. We are living in 2008. People do all kinds of things differently these days. The best sign is see is that the two of you are communicating. That is the key to happiness and marriage. Talk, talk, talk. You will be happy.

  7. Um; it all depends on the people. If she wants a big thing then it would probably be best. But you should probably talk to her about it first because if she doesn't want to get engaged then you might regret thinking this big thing.
