The ring was weakened before Summerslam started and there were technicians under the ring who would have been told to loosen the struts on the mat covering completely after Taker had won the match.Production people backstage with headsets would have told them when to loosen the covering.The flames were harmless pyro effects distracting the fans while Edge would have crawled through a ready made passage that led to the side of the ring.With the flames making fans think Edge was going down to h**l, he would have just went backstage unnoticed.Edge is completely fine and should be back on Smackdown again real soon.
