What do you think happened to Big Brown ???

I think the jockey was paid off. Did you check out those odds on the other horses ?!!!

The whole race looked like the jockey was totally messeing the horse up.

Its always about the money in horse racing,there is no way that horse just "ran out of gas" and I think it is a total lie when the jockey says "I just didnt have a horse". Granite,his horse doesnt have feet...but bull c**p he didnt have a horse !!! His horse didnt have a jockey !!! The Big Brown had a hindrance, not a jockey.

I watched the race and have looked at some photos,you can check them out all over on line, everyone I see and can compare to the other horses and jockeys...it looks to me as if that jockey was totally running against Big Brown.

The horse lost. Get over it. He didn't have a good day. Haven't you ever had a bad day where you weren't yourself. Another horse had a great day. Thats life.

I agree with w b.  I think the horse needed his steroid fix.  I think until they test horses like they test human athletes, we'll continue to see horses put down with broken legs.  Steroids deplete calcium on these growing 3 year old babies.

I don't think Big Brown had the look of a champion, he really had no competition, and if he'd gone against a horse like Seattle Slew, he would have been just another also ran.

I think big brown's cracked hoof sort of affected it. Maybe, it was sorta botherin him an the jockey couldn't get him to run because of that. Thats only my gues... he really stunk on that race

It never made sense to me that a Horse that has "Quarter Horse like sprinting ability" and the number one position at the gate why did the jockey not let him break and get to the rail 1st he had the chance to. Instead he pulled up & ran him  literally up the behind of another horse from that experience it caused him to lose focus. If that wasn't enough he then pulled him sideways and got him stuck in the pack.

If Your looking to blame this loss on someone or thing.

Look to the pilot that was on Big Browns Back!

Big Brown suffered the same fate as Roger Federer this past weekend.  Both performed their skills for only one (1) minute.
