What do you think is a good name for a horse?

I'm an equine major at USU and I'm currently working with a one year old quarter horse colt whose registered name is Otter Chaos. He is a descendant of the great reiner Hollywood Dunit. Right now we call him Hollywood, but one of my teachers thinks we should change his name. What do you think would be a cool name for this horse?

I think you should chose "Enright"...it sounds like a very masculine name for a horse with that background lol. Plus it sounds like it has a lot of power and authority behind it :)

Woo Dunit.   as in who done it? We have 1 mare and a 3yr filly and a 2yr old filly names are in order Mary, Jaqui and Hanna.  Mary is a retired trotter ( Manhattan Drive her racing name) and the girls are hers.  We will be training them to race.  Lota work though.  from Sandy in Australia.......have a good day.  give me ten...please.

For easy ways, you can call it according to it's color. Other than that,you can also name it according to it's behavior. For example, if your horse likes to run, you may call it "Speedy" or "Hurricane".Hurricanes are fast right? if you want a combination with it's color and behavior, it can be "SpeedB" ('B' stands for it's color,whether it's black or brown). If the names sounds funny, you can find other names on the internet. I hope this works. :)

Gosh, I don't know how anyone comes up with horse names... but you said it's a quarter horse so if you're looking for something "cute", you could go along the lines of TWO BITS (an old western expressing for a 25 cent piece).

I've just searched on Hollywood Dun It and found that this was quite a horse!  I'm sure you already have access to the genealogy chart but I'm putting up a link anyway.  Have you ruled out resurrecting one of the ancestral names?
