  1. It depends on what you'd like to do with it. Are you talking about an all-out SPL monster or a SQ sub? There's more out there than JL, Kicker, Rockford and all that. As far as getting loud. Hands down I would have to say the Digital Designs Z-series sub, taking over 12,000w RMS and punching you dead in your chest. Too bad they're about $4,000 each. Back to something a little more affordable. The cheapest, best bang for your buck is probably going to be the Alpine Type-R. Wire the 15 to a BXi-2006d and set the gains conseratively and bam, you have a daily system capable of 150+ dB. (If given the proper box). If you want loud, yet quality built, I'd go back to DD and get a 9500 series sub. They can be had from anywhere between $300-$500. Depending on if they're new, used, have a composite cone or carbon fiber dustcap etc.

Anywho.. Between Rockford and Kicker.. I'd take the CVX. Give them a nice box, clean power and they get pretty loud, too. You can get your hands on a  brand new CVX for $160 (10"), $180 (12"), $250 (15"). Or even cheaper used.

  2. idk

  3. between those two brands i would go with Kicker all day

and as far as price is concerned it depends on the size of the subs,  the model CVR or CVX, and if its new or refurbished (a factory refurbished sub is just as good as a new one but cheaper)

here is a link to a site with good prices on Kicker stuff (they are an authorized Kicker dealer and they have refurbs) http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/... or try here http://www.sonicelectronix.com/

  4. Alpine SWX Type X 12" 1000 watts RMS around $300 on ebay much higher in stores
