  1. Never! Everyone should ride bikes and stay in there own communities. Plus we should kill off half the population and turn them into soylent green!

  2. 17. i think they should practice for two years, also. too much senseless tragedy with teens on the road because they weren't taught well enough or long enough to handle tough situations

  3. I would say 16 for those who prove to be responsible and 18 for those who were immature at 16.

  4. 18.

Study after study shows that teenagers are not mature or responsible enough to drive. Teens drive, insurance premiums go up, and people die. Lives are at stake here. Frankly, 18 might not be old enough, but I don't think you can prevent adults from driving.

I am further evidence. When I was 16, I was a mature, straight-A student who never got in trouble. Then I would get behind the wheel and drive like a raving lunatic. I'm lucky I never got a ticket or got myself (or someone else) killed. I have been around enough now to see that I was not exceptional.

  5. 15 is too young. probably 16.

  6. well know if your live way out in the country 16 will do with drivers ED, but if you live in the city 18 works well  also with drivers ED, remember driving is a privilege not a rite, no cell phones when driving lots of room between cars and watch that speed, drive smart good luck

  7. 18.

between the ages 16 and 18 i had 4 wrecks and totaled 3 vehicles.. i'm 26 now and have had zero wrecks since.

teenagers have their heads too far up their butts to drive.

  8. If you live on a farm and are required to drive as part of your responsibilities on the farm, probably 14 is OK...cause you know and I know, if you wreck daddy's work truck, the whole family probably goes hungry. Personally, I believe kids shouldn't be allowed to drive until they have graduated in high school. Maybe so many wouldn't drop out.

  9. Certainly not before 16. The problem with kids driving is that even though their reaction time might be quicker, their judgment is not as good as someone older. Also, they tend to be more reckless and drive faster. They are more likely to be distracted.

That doesn't mean that all teens are bad drivers. I have known some very responsible, safe teen drivers, but that doesn't change the facts above.
