OK, so you arrive at a regular restaurant, regular time, lunch time, sit down, order drinks, read the menu, drink arrive, order taken..... then wait....... how long is a reasonable amount of time before you get pis'd off? I think that 20mins is reasonable 30mins is pushing it.

  1. no more then 15 mins

  2. i work in the hospitality business and from the time on the ticket til the meal  arrival our policy is 15 min max any thing longer should be addressed with the customer if this standard isnt going to be met and a explaination of why there is a delay and estimated time frame established.

  3. You were kept waiting too long. I have also experienced the same in Franky's and Benny's, and have voted with my feet - I won't be going there again. The food is expensive, for what it is, and often the waiting time for service and food has been out of synch with the number of people in the restaurant. The quality isn't in line with the prices charged - and they *always* play the music too loud!

Write to the head office, and make your complaint there, too! I'm not saying that you'll get much response, but the more letters are written, the more likely the company is to do something about customer satisfaction.

AFter 30 minutes, I would have walked out, not paid the bill, complained vociferously, and gone somewhere else.

  4. I went to frankie and bennies for the first time on saturady night in birmingham, we almost walked out. 20 mins for someone to even take our order, drinks order messed up everytime, staff so rude it was hard not to be rude back. never again.

  5. Surely no longer than 15-20 mins.  I think the secret is in the art of complaining!

  6. Shut up and stop complaining!

  7. Franky's and Benny's in Nottingham is no better.  Waiting ages for really poor quality food and not very friendly staff.  I agree starters should appear no more than 20 mins after ordering - you just get tooooo hungry and every time the kitchen door opens you think it's yours and it isn't.

  8. it depends on what type of establishment this is!! but ideally no more than 30 mins for your starters.

  9. Shouldn't you be in the kitchen cooking my lunch?

  10. 20 minutes max. After that complain. If you don't get satisfaction, leave and buy a sandwich! You must pay for what you've had though. Then follow it up with a letter.

It's not ok to be kept waiting. Ever.

  11. I would say 15 mins max

  12. 15-20 mins.

  13. 15 - 20 min absolute latest.

  14. I wouldn't mind 20 minutes I would just about tolerate 30 minutes after then i would go in the kitchen and cook it myself

  15. i work in a restaurant and our rule is that if the table are having hot starters then aim for 15mins, however if the table are having cold starters then this time is reduced to 10mins. ask when you order what the waiting time is and then if the starters exceed that time you have every right to complain.
