  1. Alcohol is addictive.

  2. Smoking herb.

    Why?

"Herb is the healing of our nation, alcohol is the destruction."

  3. herb...

  4. Herb...It's much safer and not addictive.

  5. Better in which sense? Smoking weed is better for you because you cannot directly die from smoking it, whereas you can die of alcohol poisoning relatively easily.

Alcohol can become addictive, marijuana is not. Alcohol is much harder on the body than weed is.

I think that pretty much sums it up. However, getting drunk is more fun than blazing.

  6. This one is simple......God made weed. Man made beer. Who do you trust?

Seriously though, I've never heard of anyone smoking a doob and wanting to go out and get in a fight....or kill someone in a car collision (provided that MJ is the ONLY thing in their system). Sure, smoking isn't really all that good for you but the benefits of herb far out-way the risk of smoking it. At least in my book it does.

  7. Smoking herbs.:]

Why? You don't feel as crappy in the mornings.

  8. Drinking is better because it lowers my inhibitions and makes for a very fun night. It helps me talk to people and brings out inner emotions that I normally withhold from the world. I drink responsibly and only get tipsy, not drunk, on rare occasions (about  every 2 weeks +/- a few days), so don't go thinking I'm some drunk.

What I love most about alcohol is that I can enjoy several drinks before feeling strong effects of the drug or I can just take a few quick shots to feel the effects. Smoking pot will get me stoned after one or two hits, and that's my only option. With alcohol, I can sip on a few beers as I play some Poker with my buddies, and the night will progressively get better and funner. Or I can go out in town and pound a few shots to get drunk quicker and enjoy the nightlife. If you can enjoy it sober, that's awesome, but for me, a person with social anxiety issues, I can't. I also enjoy the fact that I can just drink a few without feeling any strong effects at all.

Herbs make me view the world from a different perspective, and I like that aspect of it; however, due to years of daily abuse, it now makes me paranoid when I smoke too much. Furthermore, even before the paranoia, it also has the opposite effect of alcohol. It heightens my inhibitions so I'm cautious to do anything and makes for a rather boring night. When I get high, if I'm around sober people, I don't want to talk to them because I keep thinking I'm not going to come off as the brightest person, which makes me a boring person. Also, my friends and I rarely ever want to go out after getting high, especially, because getting high makes staying at someones house seem like fun when it's really just a waste of time. However, that's OK on occasion, so I don't know why I'm acting like even once in a while is bad... It's not bad.

I wasn't always that way. In fact, when I was new to smoking I was very social when I got high. But after years of smoking it on a daily basis, the marijuana finally took it's toll on me; my brain has used up most of the "good times" fuel and it now usually fuels "bad (or just blah) times". However, I still get some good times, but only occasionally and definitely not around a large group or crowd of people.

Perhaps if I wasn't such a pothead in high school, if I only smoked occasionally or waited until I was older to start, I would still enjoy getting high during occasions. Unfortunately, I didn't practice moderation, and I now suffer the consequence of it.

Each has it's positive aspects when used in moderation. But I would still say that getting drunk occasionally is better than getting high occasionally, simply because of the social anxiety that disappears with alcohol.
