  1. more stars/galaxy/space..

the stars aren't a boundary or anything... we can't even see our whole universe....

  2. There is nothing called the end of the Universe. There are three possibilities of the shape of the Universe.

First, the Universe might have what we call positive curvature like a sphere. In this case, the Universe is called "closed" and it has a finite size but without a boundary, just like a baloon. In a closed Universe, you could, in principle, fly a spaceship far enough in one direction and get back to where you started from.

The second possibility is that the Universe is flat. This kind of Universe can be imagined by cutting out a piece of a baloon material and stretching it with your hands. The surface of the material is flat and not curved. You can expand and contract it by tugging on either end. Flat Universes are infinite in extent and have no boundaries.

Finally, the Universe might be "open" or have negative curvature. Such Universes are also infinite in spatial extent and have no boundaries.

Thus whatever be the shape of the Universe, there is nothing called a boundary and hence nothing called the edge or end of the Universe.

Regarding the second question of expansion, remember that space exists only IN the Universe and there is no meaning to the term "outside the Universe". What happens in expansion is that the space itself is expanding. With respect to your room analogy, it is not that the walls of your room are pushing against something but that the space in the room is expanding; there is nothing to push against. Thus, when we talk of galaxies receding from us due to the expanion, it is not that the galaxies are moving, but the space in between us and the galaxies is expanding.

  3. Beyond the stars, there will be other planets, solar systems and galaxies. The vastness of space does not limit us to just a couple of stars, but there is an immeasurable number of stars out there. There are countless galaxies and in the map of the universe, the Milky Way is just a dot in a very huge map. Plus, there are reasons to believe that there are other universes out there. Other big bangs and many universes disappearing. Beyond the stars is an infinite space.

  4. more stars... then a bigggg empty space... then more stars again, then more empty space, etc. etc. :D

  5. The 3rd Heaven:

    2 Corinthians 12:2-5

    1st heaven- the atmosphere

    2nd heaven- the cosmos

  6. the edge of a giant glass slide that the Universe is sitting on.

  7.      A lot of stars, the galaxy and the space but there are things there the human doesn't know it till now.

In the near future i think the scientist will discover it and answer your

    question with real sources.

  8. Personally, I believe the universe is absolutely infinite. Heres my idea:

We have our little planet, which rests in a solar system with other planets. Then you have our little star, which orbits around the center of the galaxy with other little stars. Then you have all the galaxies, which seem to seem to be accelerating outward from our galaxy, perhaps due to relativity (and it is a fact that all other galaxies appear to be rushing away from our galaxy as though we are the center of the Big Bang.... look it up). So, the question is, "What is beyond the stars?"

Well, image infinite, black empty space. Infnite. Never ending. Going forever without stopping. So, you have a big bang that creates our universe. If the universe is infinite, then couldn't there have been other big bangs, creating other gatherings of galaxies whose inhabitants would consider as THE universe? And the end of their galaxies as "their" end of "their" universe? I think space if full of these "universes" or galactic groups we would call "universes".

Then again, perhaps modern theories are correct, but I don't believe them. I think the milky way is the center of the universe. If you believe modern theories set forth by Stephen Hawking, then you would believe that our universe, reality, space, fabric of space-time, whatever you want to call it, is in the shape of a baloon. This isn't to say that we exist in a bubble. Image, however, that our stars, galaxies, we ourselves exist on the surface of the baloon itself. The reason all other galaxies appear to be moving away from us is because our universe, or the "balloon" is expanding. And, if you existed on the surface of a balloon that was expanding, it would appear that all other points were moving from you. This is what Hawking and many lead scientists believe the universe is doing. If you believe this, then you also have to believe that if you leave earth and travel in a straight line (assuming earth didn't move at all), then you would end up right back at earth, like traveling from Rome to Rome on the earth. To me, it's rubbish.

I'm not discounting Mr. Hawking's intelligence and discoveries, but I feel that science is going too far in trying to stick with Relativity and the theories that have spawned from it. I think it's time for some new ideas, and as arrogant as it may sound, I think we need to accept that the milky way is perhaps the center of our universe. This wouldn't mean that Creationism is fact, it would just mean that we have to look at the universe in a different way. That's all.

But, I'm sure Hawking would say of my idea the same thing Einstein said of the Big Bang Theory when it was first conjectured, "Sounds a little too much like Christian dogma."

At least Im willing to admit, I could be wrong :)

    Take care and God bless.
