What do you think is going to happen to you after you die?

I'm 100% positive that I will be in heaven when I die and not in h**l, only because I believe that Jesus, who is God, died for my sins on the cross and rose from the dead.

Believing that is the only way for anyone to get into heaven and to avoid being sent to h**l.

What is going to happen? My cells are going to disperse and  scatter about and be used to make up future life forms. The ego is nothing more then a tiny drop in an endless ocean.

I'll return to the same state of non-life as before I was born.  Of course my molecules will be recycled in different things or objects but they won't be "me" anymore.  The concept of self will have disapeared with the absence of electrical activity in my brain.

Initially I'll be unconscious:

* Ecc 9:5  For the living know that they shall die: BUT THE DEAD KNOW NOT ANY THING...

Then I'll be resurrected:

* Joh 5:29  And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

If I'm in the first resurrection, the "resurrection of life", I'll judge the world with Christ for a "1000" symbolic years:

* Rev 20:4  ...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

If I'm in the second resurrection, the "resurrection of damnation", I'll be thrown into a SYMBOLIC (not actual--"h**l" does not exist) lake of fire:

* Rev 20:15  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

In the "lake of fire" I'll be purified of wickedness and eventually saved:

* 1Co 3:15  If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

"Gospel" means "good news"--but traditional Christian doctrine is anything but.  It teaches that if we come to the reasoned conclusion that God should be worshipped and loved (even if some of us have never even heard of Christ) and manage to overcome our natural HATRED of God (Romans 8:7), that He'll give us eternal happiness and pleasure.  BUT, if we follow our natural urges and do not love God, that he'll throw our miserable selves into liquid fire where we will be in UNIMAGINABLE TORTURED AGONY.  And not only that, but he will then proceed to keep us alive in such a state FOREVER.  Hours...Days...Weeks...Years...Centuries... and weaping and begging for death, but never receiving even that small mercy.  And this, from the "God of Love"!

I shake my head at the sheer idiocy of the unscriptural doctrine of h**l.

No, THIS is the gospel of Christ, and the promise for all of us:

* 1Ti 4:10  For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the SAVIOUR OF _ALL_ MEN, specially of those that believe.

When animals die they decompose into the ground and become part of the earth. you die. you become part of the earth and eventually decompose. yeah it is scary you won't be here anymore and will never have an impact on the world ever again, but life is short. religion helps people not to be so scared about death, but the truth is you die.

Yeah, sometimes I just think what's the point of life and where do we go after, but I'm a christian, so I'm hoping I can get into heaven. I hope they have soccer there.
