The flowrider is those artificial wave things that they have at some waterparks.

  1. I have only surfed and bodyboarded on the east coast, where the waves are small. If the waves are big it's fun to surf. Bodyboarding is a totally different sensation. The flowrider is really fun, I haven't surfed one yet, only bodyboarded because they didn't have the boards to do it at the time. But I can't wait to do it the next time I get the chance.

  2. Flow Rider Ay.... ima get me one of these..

But Surfing Owns All, best feeling being inside a breaking wave.

  3. the flowrider is great for practicing manuevers, but cannot compare even slightly to being in the ocean. negotiating barrels and lips are so much more critical. surfing is awesome for pure speed and getting covered deep, but i'm partial to bodyboarding. the verticality you can get is so much more intense. gotta admit though when you see guys charging teahupoo, kant help but wanna surf.

  4. Surfing by far there is nothing like it

  5. I prefer surfing way more.  However when the only waves available are shore break or big closeouts, I am perfectly happy grabbing a sponge.

  6. Surfing, surfing, surfing. Sport of kings. Anyone who has ever been inside a tube on a surfboard will agree.

  7. Anything that you can ride waves with is fun.  I started surfing when i was four, then switched to bodyboarding when i was nine. I then when back to surfing at sixteen, then right back to bodyboarding the year later.  What made me stick with bodyboarding mainly were many things. My homebreak is a mental sandbar left and a sick reef to sand right. It pounds super hard and breaks surfboards regularly.  I surfed, bodyboarded, and bodysurfed for 26 years and love all three.  People should stop limiting themselves and enjoy the ocean and respect EVERY wave rider.  As far as the flowrider, i would LOVE to have one in my backyard.  That is probably every wave rider's dream!  Your buddies and yourself enjoying uncrowded endlessly barrelling waves!  That would be sick.

  8. i love boogyboarding and i didnt want to try the flowrider because i was scared that i would fall and have a ton of people laugh at me
