  1. Intelligence. With intelligence you will be able to understand to a greater detail where your effort will pay off.

  2. Effort because it has the percentage of 90 to be successful in anything we are doing..And intelligence is nothing if we are not exerting effort to use it..

  3. it depends for what i guess.

i think intelligence is potential, effort is realizing the potential, though intelligence also allows for more results for the same effort.

intelligence is the engine, effort the gas pedal.

  4. ...for myself its effort...to make my world a better place...it starts with humbleness...thanks for asking...

  5. intelligence... but it comes from effort.

May you please answer mine? (If you want)

  6. Effort is more important.

Intelligence don't come to any use when it doesn't give you the satisfactory feeling that you did something. But in effort even if you didn't do something right you tried.

  7. Intelligence. But it is a wasted gift without effort

  8. Effort. I know a lot of very intelligent people who never tried and then failed. However, if you try and keep trying, you will eventually succeed.

  9. intelligence but that also comes from effort

  10. They are both equal because if you are intelligent, but you dont have any effort you will never do anything but if you give all your effort but you are not intelligent then you will be getting nowhere

  11. Effort is.

It is with trying that we truly better ourselves and our lives.

  12. Effort.  Of course intelligent effort might be helpful, but with all the brains in the world, if one is unmotivated or lazy, who cares how much he may know or how smart he may be?  Effort - energy - exertion makes the true difference in the long haul.  Like Nike says, just DO IT!

  13. neither is of any worth at all without the other.

  14. Depends on the point of reference. But generally I think effort is more important--because it is necessary in order for intelligence to exist.

If we do not have the effort or desire to use our thought and reason abilities, then certainly intellectuals would not exist.

Effort is the whole basis of life. Effort is the only reason why we are here. If your parents did not make the effort to have s*x then you would not be here!

  15. Intelligence. Any idiot can bull his way thru, but if you think smarter, you do it with lass effort.

  16.           INTELLIGENCE

  17. Hmmm? Obviously many "labor" without high levels of intelligence, while those who may have Mensa IQ's might not get it, about how to tie their shoes.

Important is a pretty nebulous word in this case anyway. To the migrant farmer, effort might be "important" in their station in life, and to feed a family. That isn't to say they don't want for more.

Being a CEO at the highest level of intelligence might mean they put forth effort to get there, but at that point it might not matter to "effort" themselves any further.

Experience/Learning can equal knowledge, which might equal wisdom at some point, but still, "important" might be very selective, very narrowly, individually defined.
