  1. Justice. Hang the lot of them. That way we can all sleep safe in our beds.

  2. Justice has no limits except what gets defined by other aspects like mercy ie to make justice through punishment, relevant  or appropriate to the crime.

  3. I feel when justice is chose over mercy one can not fully heal the wounds that were suffered, in addition you hurt not only yourself but others. When mercy is chosen of justice, it enables the healing to begin, for both the offender and the one who was hurt.

  4. I say justice, because it is assumed that mercy will be granted if the circumstances justify them.  The question, then becomes, how do we define justice?  Which perspective do we take?  A lot of people don't understand that the only true way we can have justice is through a fair and correct application of the law.  No matter how you cut it, someone feels that justice has not been served, which is why you can't measure justice by the views of the parties involved.  Just an interesting point I like to make.

  5. intelligent question...I would say justice because while mercy is a good thing, think of those evil individuals who abuse other people's kindness and forgiveness to further their ends. In other words, some people don't realize the value of mercy and may not necessarily repent when show mercy. But with justice, it is more objective. Justice can also act as a powerful deterrent to a wrong-doer from doing wrong.

But in the real world it's not so black and white. Practically, it is better to have a measure of both mercy and justice.

    Cheers

  6. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God."

Justice sends everybody to h**l.  Only mercy gets you into heaven.

  7. They go hand in hand...one doesn't work with other properly

  8. If justice was perfect, it would bring justice to all involved. However, since imperfect humans are the proprietors of justice as we know it, neither true mercy nor justice is attainable, making the decision of the importance of either nonessential.
